Sacred Kailash Mansarovar Yatra – 7 Nights / 8 Days Pilgrimage

The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is a once-in-a-lifetime spiritual expedition to Mount Kailash (Lord Shiva's divine abode) and the holy Mansarovar Lake, located in Tibet. This 8-day tour is a perfect blend of faith, endurance, breathtaking landscapes, and deep spiritual awakening.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (Nepal)

  • Airport pickup and transfer to hotel

  • Short briefing about the yatra and document verification

  • Visit to Pashupatinath Temple (time permitting)
    Overnight stay in Kathmandu


Day 2: Kathmandu – Nepalgunj (Flight)

  • Morning sightseeing in Kathmandu (Pashupatinath & Budhanilkantha)

  • Fly to Nepalgunj (1 hour)

  • Rest and acclimatization
    Overnight stay in Nepalgunj


Day 3: Nepalgunj – Simikot – Hilsa – Taklakot (by Flight + Helicopter + Drive)

  • Early morning flight to Simikot

  • Helicopter ride to Hilsa (Nepal-Tibet border)

  • Cross the border and drive to Taklakot (Burang) in Tibet

  • Acclimatization
    Overnight stay in Taklakot (3900 m)


Day 4: Rest & Acclimatization at Taklakot

  • Full day for acclimatization to high altitude

  • Optional short hikes, light meals, and spiritual sessions
    Overnight stay in Taklakot


Day 5: Taklakot – Mansarovar Lake (90 km)

  • Drive to Mansarovar Lake (4560 m)

  • Perform puja, rituals, meditation, and take a holy dip in the lake

  • Visit Rakshas Tal nearby
    Overnight stay near Mansarovar (basic guesthouse)


Day 6: Mansarovar – Darchen – Dirapuk (Start Kailash Parikrama – 1st Day Trek)

  • Drive to Yam Dwar and begin the 1st day of parikrama (trek ~12 km)

  • Trek to Dirapuk with views of Mt. Kailash North Face
    Overnight stay in Dirapuk (basic accommodation, 4860 m)


Day 7: Dirapuk – Dolma La Pass – Zuthulpuk (2nd Day Parikrama – Toughest)

  • Trek to Dolma-La Pass (5630 m), the highest point of the yatra

  • Visit Gauri Kund on the descent

  • Continue to Zuthulpuk (~22 km trek)
    Overnight stay in Zuthulpuk (basic guesthouse)


Day 8: Zuthulpuk – Darchen – Taklakot – Fly back to Kathmandu

  • Complete the final leg of parikrama (short trek & drive)

  • Return to Taklakot, cross back into Nepal

  • Helicopter to Simikot, fly to Nepalgunj, then to Kathmandu
    Tour ends with blessings from Mount Kailash

  • Spiritual cleansing at Mansarovar Lake

  • Parikrama of Mount Kailash – the spiritual center of the universe

  • Scenic helicopter journey over the Himalayas

  • Visit Gauri Kund, Rakshas Tal, and Yam Dwar

  • Experience Dolma-La Pass, a soul-testing yet uplifting trek

  • All internal flights, helicopter, and ground transfers

  • Accommodation in hotels and guesthouses

  • Vegetarian meals (as per itinerary)

  • Tibet permit, visa, and local guide
